Flaming heck! Alice Eve led the worst-dressed at the EE BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday night in a bizarre flame-print dress
It's the evening which sees a host of talent from both sides of the pond join together to celebrate the best of the film industry.
But for some, the pressure to pull out all the stops and wear a super-glamorous outfit was just too much to handle.
Alice Eve led the worst-dressed at the EE BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday night, in a bizarre fire-print black dress.
Not so hot: Alice teamed the dress with a bouffant updo
The 31-year-old British actress told reporters that she was 'too cold' in the revealing Alessandra Rich dress, which featured a sheer panel across the top.
And to add to the eccentricity of her ensemble, Alice teamed the dress with a bouffant backcombed hairdo as she posed up on the red carpet at the event, held at the Royal opera House.
But Alice wasn't the only star to strike out when it came to outfit choice.
Fashion fails: Sarah Jessica Parker wore a scuba-style jumpsuit, while Helen McCrory looked more like a bad bridesmaid in her pale blue gown
The ordinarily super-stylish Sarah Jessica Parker played it safe when it came to her colour palette, sticking to all-black, but somewhat missed the mark in her Elie Saab jumpsuit.
The former Sex And The City actress paired the all-in-one, which featured a visible zip down the back, with a pair of pointed court shoes, and wore her blonde hair sleek in a side parting.
Harry Potter actress Helen McCrory attended the ceremony with her Homeland star husband Damian Lewis, but failed to impress in a pale blue WilliamVintage 1963 Givenchy haute couture gown which appeared more suitable as a bad bridesmaid's dress than a red carpet option.
Swamping her figure: Laura Bailey's orange dress did little to highlight her petite frame and clashed with the red carpet
Monochrome madness: Hayley Atwell's patterned gown was something of a fashion fail for the young actress
The long gown failed to highlight Helen's petite figure, and made her appear older than her 44 years.
Laura Bailey also opted for a loose-fitting Roksanda Ilincic Resort ’13 gown, in an eye-wateringly bright orange colour which clashed entirely with the red carpet.
Once again, the dress did anything but draw attention to Laura's model figure as she posed up for photographers before heading inside to the ceremony.
Hayley Atwell's monochrome Antonio Berardi gown was a mature choice for the 30-year-old actress, and didn't prove a successful option, while Paloma Faith made her heavily beaded Nicholas Oakwell gown look even more eccentric by teaming it with an intricate updo.
Standing out: Paloma Faith opted for a typically eccentric outfit, made even more so with an intricate updo
